Bluefish444 adds edit-while-record, REST API to IngeSTore

Bluefish444, makers of uncompressed UltraHD SDI, ASI, video over IP and HDMI I/O cards, and mini converters, has released IngeSTore version 1.1.2. This free update of IngeSTore adds support for new codecs, edit-while-record workflows and a REST API.

Bluefish444 developed IngeSTore software as a complementary multi-channel ingest tool enabling Bluefish444 hardware to capture multiple independent format SDI sources simultaneously.

In IngeSTore 1.1.2, Bluefish444 has expanded codec support to include the popular formats OP1A MPEG-2 and DNxHD within the BlueCodecPack license. Edit-while-record workflows are supported through both industry standard growing files and through Bluefish444’s BlueRT plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro and Avid Media Composer. BlueRT allows Adobe and Avid NLEs to access media files as they are still being recorded by IngeSTore multi-channel capture software, increasing production efficiency via immediate access to recorded media during live workflows.

South Melbourne, Australia — Bluefish444, makers of uncompressed 4K/2K/HD/SD SDI video cards, is now offering  Fluid Ingestore and Fluid DNxHD Ingestore for multi-channel HD/SD SDI ingest for use with Epoch and Create video cards running on Windows.

Fluid Ingestore for uncompressed workflows is available free from the Bluefish444 homepage(www.bluefish444.com). Fluid DNxHD Ingestore has a license value of $100 per channel and can be upgraded via Bluefish444 worldwide channel partners or via applying for a license at www.bluefish444.com. Both are available now.

Using only an SDI video cable Ingestore enables workstation computers to capture uncompressed and Avid compatible DNxHD media with minimum operator intervention. Using the embedded timecode data in SDI, Fluid Ingestore can automatically trigger the start and stop of captures at pre-defined segments, or by using auto-record mode generate new media files for each new take based on timecode interruptions.

Fluid Ingestore harnesses the power of all Bluefish444 video cards. Using the Bluefish’s Epoch | 4K Supernova and its 4 HD/SD SDI connections will enable Ingestore systems to simultaneously capture: Four channels of independent format and frequency HD/SD SDI video; Uncompressed 4:2:2 video formats; and Avid-compliant OP-ATOM DNxHD media files.

Fluid Ingestore users can capture multiple simultaneous streams of HD/SD SDI into uncompressed 4:2:2 8/10-bit files. Uncompressed QuickTime and AVI files can be used for archive, edit, encoding or analysis.
