Video Description

The OptiTrack equipment used in the company's Siggraph demo included 32 Prime 41 cameras mounted on a truss 25 feet high and running Motive:Body software in a capture volume of 32 feet by 30 feet. The players, basketball, backboard and basket were tracked using passive markers. OptiTrack’s Prime 41 cameras provided the coverage to gather positional orientation data, while OptiTrack’s Motive software supplied the rigid body tracking, which allows users to create and automatically find the center of more rigid objects like the basketball. Real-time data captured by the system was streamed into Autodesk MotionBuilder to create the animated characters.
